Chapter 1.8: Time to Make a Decision

So I tried to send Gus and George on a trip to China as a nice father son thing and because they both had the wish to go, but it kept causing issues with my game, so unfortunately I guess this family is destined to stay in Hidden Springs forever; which really sucks as I get overloaded with opportunities that involve having to go to one of the WA locations.

Oh well, moving on.

We will start with one of our potential heirs working out.

Until George interupts him to talk about the snow.

Keith then proceeds to creep out his brother by speaking madness.

George has his own way of creeping out the family...ghost stories.

Karri: "George, that was a wonderful story."

George then goes out to build a snowman.

...a Grim Reaper snowman that is.

Karri and Keith still enjoy reading together.

Keith, don’t pick on your brother about being vegetarian.

Randomly, and with me missing it in photo form, Karri completed her LTW while watching cookin’ cable.

Gavin returns to use the shower again.

Gus spends some more time fishing.

Once it starts to rain, he tries a different fishing spot.

...and catches fish #350.

Delivers some produce to the coffeehouse.

And finally gave in to all the wishes of the family to purchase a hot tub.

Keith: "Mom, I know you're excited about the hot tub, you don't have to yell."

Keith quite enjoys the hot tub.

Don't make me take it away.  You have to do other stuff besides sit in there all day.

George loves making pancakes.

And also loves the hot tub.

Oh No!! Did someone forget to feed the fish?  Oops.

Poor Gus, has to scoop out all his perfect fish.
Gus: "I worked really hard at catching these little fishies!"
I know you did, guess you should have fed them more often.
Gus: "That's what I have kids for."

George seems to love exercising, which is good news seeing as he's in the military career.
Keep it up George.

Gus decides he'd like to train George.

Gus fixing the good ol’ tv.

Maybe you should buy a nicer one.
Gus: “This one works just fine…see!  No need wasting money on something that we already have.  When I was young there was no such thing as tv, if you were bored, you worked.”
You sure had a tough life when you were younger.
Gus: “Made me tough.  Not like these pansies around today.”
Hey!  Be nice.  That’s your family you’re talking about.

Then Gus decides it's his turn on the treadmill.

Gavin visits his mom while she is sleeping.

Karri enjoys the hot tub on a frosty morning.

And then the trampoline.

Gus loves his new gem cutter.

The family become a business partner of EverFresh Delights Supermarket.

Nobody else likes the gem cutter.

Gavin decides to try out the treadmill too.

Gus?  You don't mind that your son is skinny dipping next to you in the hot tub?
Gus: "Whatever.  It's still relaxing."

Gus: "We should plan a fishing trip."
George: "Sure dad, whatever you want."

Gus: "It would make for a nice vacation."

*Only 3-4 more sim days and we’re onto a new torch holder!!! :)

Karri decided to go skinny dipping.
Karri: “OK.  Who stole my clothes?”
What a mean prank.  And even I missed who did it.

Become a business partner of Flying V’s Coffeehouse.

And of Divisadero Budget Books.

*Buy George a midlife crisis (20,000 LTR points).
Changes Excitable to Insane in case I decide to have him be the new torch holder.

Karri is still just in a towel when Keith decides to talk to her about gardening.

Gus and Karri celebrate their second wedding anniversary.

What are you going to do for your anniversary Gus?
Gus: “Is that today?”
Yes it’s today.  You should do something nice.
Gus: “I suppose.”
Eats random herbs.

Gus: “Guess we’ll go to the summer festival.  That is nice isn’t it?”
Well, it will have to work I guess.
While there Gus sets off some fireworks to celebrate their anniversary.

Keith: "Happy anniversary mom."

Why are you carving a pumpkin in the summer?
Gus: “Getting it done early.”

Karri masters Logic skill.

Gus, I'm sorry, but it's almost time for one of your sons to take over, so you might want to get your affairs in order.
Gus: "You make it sound like I'm going to die."
Gus: "I'm looking forward to a little less responsibility.  It can be their job to support me now."
Well that is true.  You just make sure you behave yourself.

Gus: "First off, I'd like to clear out a bit of my inventory."
Donates insects to science.

Then he upgrades the dishwasher.

Karri loves that turtle.

Keith gets started on some hamburgers for supper.

When he all of a sudden realizes...
Keith: "It's my birthday!"

Will Keith be the next torch holder?  Or will we wait another day for George?
